About OT Ready
Hello!
My name is Lexie and I am the founder of OT Ready. I created this blog because I was a very frantic and nervous OT fieldwork student and new grad. I was constantly searching for intervention ideas and found little practical information that could be used to actually fill a full treatment session. Despite graduating from a wonderful MSOT program at San Jose State University, I could not help but feel overwhelmed and inexperienced when it came to hands-on care. You could say I didn’t feel “ready”.
Over the past few years working primarily in adult rehab settings I have been able to develop my skills as a clinician and feel like it’s time to create the content that I wanted when I was first starting out. While you cannot prepare for every situation, I believe that knowledge is power and can calm the nerves that come with being thrust into a new job or fieldwork position.
OT Ready is broken down into three main components of practice: Evaluation, Intervention, and Collaboration. I look forward to diving into these categories and providing high-quality, simple, and specific information that will help you feel ready to walk into your workplace.
Whether you are a student, new grad, or veteran practitioner, we have quality information for you.
If you have any questions, comments, or recommendations please fill out the form below and I will respond within 24 hours.
Thank you for visiting!
